Imports, Exports in June Set a New High

The General Administration of Customs of China released China’s foreign trade statistical data of the first half year on July 10. According to the report, in the first six months this year, China’s imports and exports totaled USD 1354.88 billion, with an increase of 43.1% compared with a year earlier. In which, exports realized USD 705.09 billion, up 35.2% year on year and imports USD 649.79 billion, with a large growth of 52.7% year on year. The trade surplus was USD 55.3 billion, with a decline of 42.5% year on year.
In June alone, China’s imports and exports totaled USD 254.77 billion, up 39.2% year on year. In which, exports realized USD 137.4 billion, with a growth of 43.9% year on year and imports USD 117.37 billion, with an increase of 34.1% year on year.
China’s imports and exports in June 2010 set a historical high compared with records in July 2008.
Imports and exports in June this year increased by 4.4% compared with the previous month. Among them, exports went up 4.3% month on month and imports up 4.6%.
